SummaCare is headquartered in Akron, Ohio and is one of the region's only provider-owned health insurance companies. SummaCare was formed in the early 1990s as a product offering for large, self-funded employers in Akron. Since then, we have grown regionally and nationally to meet the needs of individuals and employers of all sizes and funding arrangements.
