If you're a nice person who likes a good deal...

This app is for you if you are patient and like getting a deal. It's kinda like the frontier airlines or ryan air of NYC car services. The annoying parts can be the random driver cancellations (5% of the time). Also I've heard some nightmare car pooling stories by the drivers (a rider who got picked up and waited as driver picked up and dropped off 12 people before dropping her off). But honestly, there's almost never anybody in my car (less than 5% of the time). The less annoying parts are needing to walk to a pick up location (always within 3 blocks of where you are), and the somewhat odd drivers (definitely have personalities). The great parts are the rates (better than any other car sharing app), the ease of use of the app, and the large spacious cars. It has beaten out uber for me and I hope it's here to stay.

Much better than Uber / Lyft / Juno in NYC

Not only for commuting purposes, via has now been my primary ride sharing service in NYC. It is consistently cheaper, faster, and more reliable than the other Big 3. The Via locations are always spot on - due to their GPS tracking being far superior than competitors.
