Description:

ROC-V Mobile is an adaptation of the ROC-V desktop software suite for mobile devices. ROC-V trains military personnel to identify combat vehicles quickly and intuitively. ROC-V Mobile allows users to study images and identifying information of combat vehicles then test their knowledge in two different game-like challenges.

ROC-V Mobile ships with six default vehicle lists:

-All Vehicles
-Soldier’s Manual of Common Tasks (SMCT)
-Rotary Wing
-Tracked
-Wheeled, Armored
-Wheeled, Unarmored

Users can also create custom sets from scratch.

Free Study Mode:
-Allows users to view images of vehicles from eight different aspects, learn helpful H.A.T.S/R.E.F.T. identification cues and compare two vehicles side-by-side.

Contains two engaging challenge modes:

Vehicle Discrimination Challenge
-Presents the user with two images, side-by-side, and is prompted to click on the image of the named vehicle.

Timed Challenge
-Asks the user to identify a displayed vehicle through a six-alternative, timed multiple-choice test.

Great but in desperate need of repair

This was a great app back when I flew the Kiowa. It has gone into disrepair lately and the study function that was key to the app now crashes the system. You can still practice and use the Challenge mode which has some use.

Really great program that will help new and old tankers with vehicle ID; however, this version has an issue with the "Study" function. Continues to crash. I hope this gets fixed soon.

doesnt work

leave it to the army to make an app that doesnt work. the study button might as well be the exit button... also during in the vehicle id challenge screen it only works when the phone is tilted to landscape, if not it just cuts off half the screen. kind of a halfass job. maybe the marines should have made it, oorah.

Core Location Framework
The Core Location framework lets you determine the current location or heading associated with a device. The framework uses the available hardware to determine the user’s position and heading. You can also use it to define geographic regions and monitor when the user crosses the boundaries of those regions. In iOS, you can also define a region around a Bluetooth beacon.
Core Telephony Framework
Use the Core Telephony framework to obtain information about a user’s home cellular service provider—that is, the provider with whom the user has an account. Carriers can use this information to write applications that provide services only for their own subscribers. You can also use this framework to obtain information about current cellular calls.
Foundation Framework
The Foundation framework provides a base layer of functionality for apps and frameworks, including data storage and persistence, text processing, date and time calculations, sorting and filtering, and networking. The classes, protocols, and data types defined by Foundation are used throughout the macOS, iOS, watchOS, and tvOS SDKs.
MessageUI
The Message UI framework provides specialized view controllers for presenting standard composition interfaces for email and SMS (Short Messaging Service) text messages. Use these interfaces to add message delivery capabilities without requiring the user to leave your app.
MobileCoreServices
Use uniform type identifier (UTI) information to create and manipulate data that can be exchanged between your app and other apps and services using MobileCoreServices.
Quartz Core Framework
Allow users to browse, edit, and save images, using slideshows and Core Image filters.The Quartz Composer API supports processing and rendering graphical data and allows developers to create custom patches for the Quartz Composer developer tool. ImageKit provides user interface support for browsing, editing, and saving images, showing slideshows, and browsing and previewing Core Image filters. PDFKit is a technology that allows applications to display and manipulate PDF documents.
UIKit
The UIKit framework (UIKit.framework) provides the crucial infrastructure needed to construct and manage iOS apps. This framework provides the window and view architecture needed to manage an app’s user interface, the event handling infrastructure needed to respond to user input, and the app model needed to drive the main run loop and interact with the system.
