Turing Society
Turing Society aims to bring together the three pillars of technology, community and future. As an NGO, we are focused on bringing tech literacy to the masses and enable people from all walks of life to embrace this rapidly evolving world around them. We believe in three simple ideas: 1. World class education should be available for everyone. 2.Communities should be able to provide personal support tailored to one's strengths and weaknesses. 3. Everyone should be able to code. To achieve this, we hold three different types of events: TuringX: Various leaders in the industry come to our forums to discuss what the future looks like, and how our rapidly our lives are changing because of ground breaking technologies among our midst. Turing Society Workshops: These workshops aim at bringing together people from non technical backgrounds and teaching them basic coding for specific purposes. We aim to illustrate just how accessible the technology is, and how much impact they can have on our lives. Turing Society Bootcamp: We host our own 10 week program, where dedicated individuals transform into junior level developers. We believe that coding is an essential life skill, and our bootcampers will eventually create the futures that both us and them have envisioned. Unlike other bootcamps, we believe that money should not be the reason someone is denied this education. To this end, the Turing Society Bootcamp is free of charge for members.
