Swire Beverages is one of the largest Coca-Cola bottlers in the world and works closely with The Coca-Cola Company on brand development and marketing. The relationship with Coca-Cola began in 1965 with the acquisition by Swire of the majority shareholding in a Coca-Cola franchise in Hong Kong, a business known today as Swire Coca-Cola HK Ltd. Swire Pacific acquired the Coca-Cola Bottling Company of Salt Lake City in 1978.
