I really wanted to give this 5 stars, out of the gate!... but, can't just yet, because it seems to be only partially usable, with less than its full functionality, at least on my stock iPhone 4 iOS 6.1.3. There seems to be some sort of scaling fault - maybe it was only designed/tested for the iPhone 5. The app opens (the splash screen seems to 'squash' after a moment, compressing the sun into a slight oval) and you can initiate a new alarm, but the layout of icons for different outdoor activities is offset down the screen, making it hard to select the bottom pair. Similarly, whatever activity type you choose (eg a 'skiing alarm'), you can select the time & location/resort name on the next screen, but the weather type icons, underneath, don't all fit on the screen, preventing selection of the snowfall icon (or anything below it). Then, worse still, tapping on any of those weather parameters, takes you to a setting screen (eg wind speed), wherein the slider can be adjusted, but is displaced down over the Back & Set buttons, preventing the user returning to the main alarm setup screen. The only way out is to hit the phone's Home button and the only way back, to retry, is to kill the app & relaunch. Thus, currently, the only way to use the app is with the default settings for each weather alarm type. I couldn't find any support links to contact the developer. Once fixed, I'm hoping this will be a cool app - optimizing both quality powder turns & sleep! Also, since it's available on the US App Store, it would probably be worth making it clear that it is a New Zealand specific weather alarm. Otherwise, there's bound to be users downloading it and complaining they've never heard of the resorts/place names and why doesn't it work for Aspen or Beaver Creek! Promising work... looking forward to v1.1 and giving it three more stars! :)

I think it's a really cool idea. Found after I down loaded it that it didn't actually work. Will be great once the bugs are fixed!
