The St Vincent de Paul Society is a volunteer based international charity that offers a ïhand upÍ to people experiencing disadvantage. The St Vincent de Paul Society is a ground-roots organisation whose members and volunteers been helping countless families and individuals for more than 150 years. Perhaps the St Vincent de Paul SocietyÍs most recognisable services are the Vinnies Retail Centres or shops, which are the first point of contact for people who need a helping hand not to mention a one-stop-shop for pre-loved clothing and wares. What makes the St Vincent de Paul Society special is that the money raised goes towards helping the local community and funding our other support services, which include: ´ Homeless services for men, women and children, such as hostels, learning centres, and counselling ´ Youth programs and camps for children experiencing disadvantage ´ Refuges for women and children escaping domestic violence ´ Friendship programs for people living with a mental illness ´ Rural Taskforce ´ Budget counselling ´ Drug, alcohol and gambling rehabilitation programs The St Vincent de Paul Society provides a safety net for anyone who has no one else to turn to, no matter what their circumstance.
