El hecho de poder medir el conocimiento, aptitudes y capacidades de los alumnos a traves de smartphones es un paso importante hacia la democratizacion del conocimiento y su medicion. Este app va a permitir que alumnos en zonas remotas, o de poder adquisitivo bajo, puedan evaluar su conocimiento sin Tener que desplazarse a un centro de evaluacion, cyber cafe o sin tener que comprar un PC (hoy en dia se encuentran smartphones por memos de $100)

Questionmark is again showing why it is the leader in online assessment with this app. This is a great way to make all sorts of assessments available to a wide audience. We have 40 iPod touch devices that can be used to deliver knowledge checks and quizzes to students, in a fun, interactive, and unintimidating delivery. Anything that helps keep my students engaged will enhance their learning experience. I can also see this providing convenience to adult learners, by offering easy access to assessments or even surveys while on the go. This app appears to be a demo release, directed to a sample list of assessments. Hopefully an update will provide settings to map the target server. Of course, you can always just use the mobile browser to access your own server in the meantime. So I will withhold the fifth star until the app allows access to my Perception server.

It has been said iPhone apps should be focused on a single task and designed to be as easy to use as possible. This application has definitely accomplished this by accessing the best assessment technology available (Questionmark Perception). This takes mobile assessments and even observer based assessments to the next level. I'm sure running this application on Apples upcomming iPad device will be a pleasure as well with Questionmark Perception's new Auto-Sense / Auto-Size features.
