NHS Improvement is responsible for overseeing foundation trusts and NHS trusts, as well as independent providers that provide NHS-funded care. We offer the support these providers need to give patients consistently safe, high quality, compassionate care within local health systems that are financially sustainable. By holding providers to account and, where necessary, intervening, we help the NHS to meet its short-term challenges and secure its future.

Description:
NHS Emergency Care App is used operationally primarily by UK public sector staff who have a healthcare focus and assists in monitoring situations in and status of A&E Departments. The application is automatically refreshed every 15 minutes to provide the most up to date information. The application is restricted to users who have applied for an allocated and publicly available OKTA authentication account.
The App itself processes only aggregated data which is sent in by NHS trusts to an NHS Improvement API. The data is then passed back to the App via the same API to a user’s mobile device.
