YogaMoves is a tool that supports on-the-go yoga practice with:

SETTING
YogaMoves sets the tone for yoga practice with original musical compositions. YogaMoves’ music establishes ambiance that helps individuals deepen their form, focus and intention with four main themes:
• High Energy
• Meditation
• Concentration
• Balance/Observation

POSE SEQUENCES
Illustrated pose and sequence guides are provided with details on proper form and transitions. Yogis can follow the sequences provided or use the information to create their own.

PROGRESS
Subscribers also use their photos to measure the progression of their practice with the YogaMoves measurement tool. Illustrated guides show how range of motion, strength and flexibility will improve with practice.

SHARING
The YogaMoves photo editor lets subscribers document their own yoga moves, and share them with the entire YogaMoves community. The YogaMoves photo gallery lets subscribers interact through sharing their progress. Galleries serve a dual purpose by also illustrating how each pose is done by the example of fellow yogis.

Bad for beginners

I was not a fan of this app as I am a beginner and looking for an app to guide me through yoga positions. This app does not have that function. It has some inspirational images of yoga positions, and it allows you to take pictures of yourself doing yoga. To me that was pretty useless but maybe more independent yoga practitioners will appreciate it.

Disappointing

For an app that takes 2.5Gb of my pad's memory it is very disappointing. The content is very basic and only includes introductions to basic asanas and very short descriptions of 3 types of breathing and a bit vague meditation technique. The video leaves lot to wish for. Music, which might be just my personal opinion, didn't feel very relaxing... Sorry guys. Maybe I expected too much.

No Go

This app is very disappointing. The front page is promising so I spent $1.99 for the upgraded app but can find little of redeeming value.

Nicely done...

PROS Lots of thought (with the end-user in mind) was put into this app. I like the clean design and particularly found the Track Your Progress part helpful. Love the idea of having an image gallery for inspiration. Also love the idea of have yoga music included - although i didn't care too much for the selection. CONS I'm not sure about the "them yoga moves" song. It's a bit too fast-paced for my taste and, aside from the lyrics, it really doesn't add anything to the app for me. That being said, the video was pretty neat/creative. Also, there were a few techy things: It would be nice if i could read the material on my phone in landscape. Otherwise the type is too small and i have to zoom in and constantly move the page around to read it. Also, i think it was the Fast Track (?) page was only showing half of the page when i zoomed in. Also, i believe it was the Track Your Progress page where there was a big gap in text which made it out of sync with the images. Lastly, the image gallery was great but only about 7-8 of the 10 would show. The other few were blacked out. I would also like to see more inspiring images (of various poses) added to the gallery.
