The first time you run the app, you may select a demo park, for which you can view part of the content for free. The full content for that park, or other parks, can be unlocked via in-app purchases.

Very disappointing

A wonderful idea for an app, but very badly executed. Confusing to navigate, and the add-on that I bought for Table Mountain NP barely mentions Cape Point or most of the fauna and flora in the park.

Good idea, poor execution

I downloaded the app, because it looked nice and i wanted an electronic version of my fold away map. After running it for the first time, it gives you the option to pick a map to enable you to test it out, hiding some features. (After your choice, you cant pick another one, unless you pay for it.) I chose the Addo one. Playing around with the app, i found navigation a little bit annoying and drawn out. The actual map also takes very long to redraw. After a zoom in on a section, you have to sit and wait for the different image keys and place names to be redrawn one by one, almost like a slow download. The roads has no distance indications and i thought this might be one of the locked features. I went ahead and purchased the map in the hopes that it will add more details, but it only added a few camp descriptions, ones one can look up online on SANPARK's site, for free, in WAY more detail. Cant even look at a preview pics of the camps. If you do download this app, pick the map you want, no need to pay, no improvement when doing so. If you want another map, uninstall the app, and install it again, picking the new desired map. In short, very disappointing app, dont diss our wild parks like this....

No stars

- stars. What stars. Waste of time. Downloaded twice and bombed out when loading. Requires wifi connection to update map. Sorry Map studio you do not get wifi at animal drinking holes. Do not spend your dollars on this.

Can't share sightings

I thought this app would allow me to see other people's sightings. But it doesn't. A bit misleading.
