With the KODAK Reel Film App, you can find and experience theatrical events at venues, that use REAL film projection. Whether it’s 35mm 3D, 70mm, or other film formats, the KODAK Reel Film App will help you keep track of upcoming movies that will be shown on film, as well as showtimes for movies that are shot on film.

In addition to movie showtime information, the KODAK Reel Film App provides information on the latest movies that were captured on KODAK Motion Picture Film. Last but not least, the KODAK Reel Film App will allow you to search our growing database of theaters, museums, and art houses that have retained or expanded their film projection capabilities.

Nice App

Needs to actually find movies near me. It seems to just show every movie playing on film--even ones 3,000 miles away on the other side of the country. My location shows up correctly, but results need a proximity filter.

i would likely refer to this appall the time if actually worked

i live in a city with no shortage of repertory screenings every week, so it would be nice to have this app working as advertised to ascertain which of those screenings were being projected on film vs a digital presentation.

Excellent Idea

iI was excited to find this and i use it and tell people about it. It needs to be more thorough- every major city has a film club/association or two plus museum screenings that should be an integral part of the listings. As well, I am not sure it is connected to all theatres in the cities surveyed.

Neat idea but lousy execution

I love the idea of an app that informs you of upcoming 35mm film screenings, but this one really needs some work. I live in a city with at least six theaters that regularly project on 35mm, but these events appear very, very rarely on the app; I'm only able to find out about them by following those theaters on Facebook and checking for updates that way. I'm sure depending on where you live you might have better luck, but based on how many screenings I would be missing by relying on this app, I can safely say that it's not very comprehensive or accurate.

Nice work, could be more comprehensive

Great idea for an app- Museum and university screenings should be added as well. Maybe the app could link to a database like afi or imdb so we can add a wider selection of films to the watchlist and get a notification for when they show on film.

Great for films

I'm a huge fan on movies shown on film, that real gritty feel is like no other. This app is a godsend showing you nearby places, what movies, and how much they cost. Basically Fandango for film.

Core Location Framework

You can also use it to define geographic regions and monitor when the user crosses the boundaries of those regions. In iOS, you can also define a region around a Bluetooth beacon.
Foundation Framework

Launch Services
