Houston Zoo
The Houston Zoo provides a fun, unique, and inspirational experience fostering appreciation, knowledge, and care for the natural world. Essentially a small city encompassing a world of ecosystems and experiences, the Houston Zoo is made up of many moving parts. We have over 6000 permanent residents (our animals) for whom we provide housing, meals, medical care and, yes, even education! In addition, we have over 1.84 million guests each year who come to experience our incredible variety of animals and ecosystems, as well as attend special private and public events and entertainment. Our dedicated staff works around the clock to ensure that the Zoo is always running smoothly for the safety and well being of our residents and guests.

Not great

Worked well giving me info before my days excursion to the zoo but now it doesn't even give info on times the zoo is open or current exhibitions or events going on at the zoo! Should definitely put some money back into the app

Useless

The app doesn't update the schedule each day and it needs an interactive map! If the activity schedule updated daily, it would be really cool if you could get an alert whenever there is an activity going on that you want to see like the giraffe feeding! I wanted to plan out my visit completely on the app but I had to revert back to printing out the schedule and map to plan the day. Very disappointing.

Not worth it free download

This app doesn't help you at all with your visit. Sure you can add a few scheduled things to your calendar, but it would be better if you could make and agenda ON the app. Also , the map is just a PDF file. Here's a tip why not make it like a GPS type, so you can see where you are? This place is huge! Don't care about webcams (leave that for your actual website) and don't care about what animals you have. I pretty much already know... it IS a zoo. And your spot light in the giraffe feeding..I guess. 🤷‍♀️

Please update app!!!!

This app used to be fantastic with an interactive map and everything. It appears to have been long forgotten as it is not updated and doesn't work well with current operating systems. Please fix it!

Does its work well

This app is great gives you the maps in the app of the zoo and gives you the hours the zoo is open and the wether. It gives you access to live webcams around the zoo to see the animals, it also gives schedules for went ever zoo keepers have talks or just small tours. Overall the app is great and work fine.

Educational!

I love the Houston Zoo and visit frequently with my 5th and 6th grade students. They especially love the animal cards and webcam feature in this new app. The app is educational, informative and easy to use.
