Excel Labs was founded in July 1991 by Dr. Naseer Ahmad MD, FCAP(USA) who trained at the George Washington University Hospital, Washington DC. Subsequently he directed a US hospital lab for 6 years, worked at the Aga Khan Hospital as a Consultant Pathologist and most recently was serving as Asst. Professor of Pathology at the Medical University of South Carolina, USA. Excel Labs is the largest private laboratory in Islamabad. It uses modern equipment and sophisticated software to ensure the timely delivery of accurate lab results. It is the only lab in Pakistan to have successfully participated in the Quality Assurance program of the College of American Pathologists for the last sixteen years. It is also ISO 9001 Ò2008 certifiedÓ. The staff of over 185 includes 21 doctors. All major sections are supervised by specialists (a full time Hematologist, an Immunologist, a Microbiologist and two Histopathologists). The Main Lab is housed in a 16,000 sq facility located in the heart of IslamabadÕs business district (the Blue Area). It has custom built labs for routine and specialized testing. It also houses Òclean roomsÓ for molecular biology and cytogenetics. The lab performs specialized tests for several hospital and labs in the northern Pakistan region. We have 24 Hours Lab service in Blue Area, Islamabad. We also offer X-Ray, Ultrasound, ECG & ETT facilities in the main lab. At Lahore, Excel Labs has established a Laboratory in 301 Y Commercial DHA and a Stat 24 hour Laboratory in SMH, Model Town.
