COLUN, COOPERATIVA AGRICOLA Y LECHERA DE LA UNION LIMITADA, nace un 24 de junio de 1949 en la ciudad de La UniÑn, hoy transformada en capital de la Provincia del Ranco, en la nueva regiÑn de Los RÕos. Desde sus inicios, se han mantenido viva las motivaciones de sus setenta fundadores, que decidieron crearla como una cooperativa, destinada a comercializar su leche y abastecerlos de insumos y servicios. Prueba de ello es que a fines de 2008, los socios de COLUN sumaban 759 miembros, lo que refuerza los ideales inspiradores en pos del bien comÏn y en el desarrollo de la zona, siendo todos parte de este gran proyecto que se fortalece en el esfuerzo que cada dÕa realizan miles de trabajadores en los predios, en el procesamiento de la leche y sus derivados con tecnologÕa de punta a nivel mundial, para llegar a todos los rincones de Chile, a nuestros consumidores chilenos y a los diversos clientes en el mundo.
