The College of Southern Maryland (CSM) is a public, regional community college with a far-reaching mission „ to help our students and community meet the challenges of individual, social, and global changes. More than 60 percent of tri-county residents who attend higher education institutions come to CSM. CSM is a leader among Maryland community colleges in offering courses which meet the busy schedules of our students, including weekend and evening online classes, and Web-hybrid courses which offer a mix of online and traditional classroom face-to-face instruction. CSM strives to create a global education program, yet remains a local college that has a real stake in supporting our community's academic, professional, and self-enrichment pursuits. CSM Safe is the official safety app of College of Southern Maryland. It is the only app that integrates with CSM's safety and security systems. Campus Security has worked to develop a unique app that provides students, faculty and staff with added safety on the College of Southern Maryland campus. The app will send you important safety alerts and provide instant access to campus safety resources.

CSM Safe features include:

- Emergency Contacts: Contact the correct services for the CSM area in case of an emergency or a non-emergency concern

- Tip Reporting: Multiple ways to report a safety/security concern directly to CSM security.

- Safety Toolbox: Enhance your safety with the set of tools provided in one convenient app.
- Notification History: Find previous Push Notifications for this app with the date and time.
- Share Map with your Location: Send your location to a friend by sending them a map of your position.
- I’m OK!: Send your location and a message indicating that “You’re OK” to a recipient of your choosing.

- Campus Map: Navigate around the CSM area.

- Emergency Plans: Campus emergency documentation that can prepare you for disasters or emergencies. This can be accessed even when users aren’t connected to Wi-Fi or cellular data.

- Support Resources: Access support resources in one convenient app to enjoy a successful experience at CSM.

- Safety Notifications: Receive instant notifications and instructions from CSM safety when on-campus emergencies occur.

Core Foundation Framework
Core Foundation is a framework that provides fundamental software services useful to application services, application environments, and to applications themselves. Core Foundation also provides abstractions for common data types, facilitates internationalization with Unicode string storage, and offers a suite of utilities such as plug-in support, XML property lists, URL resource access, and preferences.
Core Graphics
The Core Graphics framework is based on the Quartz advanced drawing engine. It provides low-level, lightweight 2D rendering with unmatched output fidelity. You use this framework to handle path-based drawing, transformations, color management, offscreen rendering, patterns, gradients and shadings, image data management, image creation, and image masking, as well as PDF document creation, display, and parsing.
Core Location Framework
The Core Location framework lets you determine the current location or heading associated with a device. The framework uses the available hardware to determine the user’s position and heading. You use the classes and protocols in this framework to configure and schedule the delivery of location and heading events. You can also use it to define geographic regions and monitor when the user crosses the boundaries of those regions. In iOS, you can also define a region around a Bluetooth beacon.
Foundation Framework
The Foundation framework provides a base layer of functionality for apps and frameworks, including data storage and persistence, text processing, date and time calculations, sorting and filtering, and networking. The classes, protocols, and data types defined by Foundation are used throughout the macOS, iOS, watchOS, and tvOS SDKs.
Launch Services
macOS Launch Services is an API that enables a running app to open other apps or their document files, similar to the Finder or the Dock.Launch Services eliminates apps having to query the Finder to open an app, document, or URL for them. The macOS Finder itself uses Launch Services to perform such tasks. Because the Finder performs no additional processing beyond calling Launch Services, any client using Launch Services for these purposes behaves identically to the Finder.

Quartz Core Framework
