Sandy Chilewich and Joe Sultan are the partners behind Chilewich | Sultan LLC. They also happen to be married. Joe, an architect with his own practice in New York City, joined Sandy soon after she founded Chilewich and launched her signature woven textiles into the international design community in 2000. Chilewich textiles are utilized for a wide range of applications including placemats, floormats, wall-to-wall carpeting, floor tiles, wall textiles and upholstery. They sell through multiple distribution channels including wholesale, e-commerce, hospitality and through the A&D community. The corporate office is in New York City, where the design studio is located. It is here that Sandy and her team work to uncover the design potential of underutilized manufacturing processes and continuously push the boundaries of textiles. In the end, each and every product is designed to be functional, as well beautiful. Sandy and Joe take great pride that 100% of their signature woven textiles are manufactured in the US and all of their textiles are processed and finished in their own facility in Chatsworth, GA.
