In fall 2012, Avenues: The World School opened the doors of its 15-grade campus in New York CityÕs Chelsea neighborhood to 740 children, the largest independent school opening in America. Extraordinary care went into the making of this school. The Avenues New York leadership team brought together outstanding faculty and staff members and, with the input of hundreds of educators around the globe, designed an innovative global curriculum. Four years later, Avenues has doubled its enrollment to nearly 1,500 students and has recently announced an expansion to increase capacity to 2,100 students, at which time it will be the largest independent school in New York City. In addition to New York City and now S‹o Paulo, Avenues is focused on opening new campuses in major cities throughout the world. Campuses in Shanghai, Miami, Silicon Valley, Doha and other leading cities are currently in development.
