Description:

This IPad app is a fun way for children to learn counting while enjoying the fabulous Blue Dog artwork of George Rodrigue. Each page displays a different piece of George's original art with countable objects. Through touch the objects can be counted in any order and children hear pronunciation plus see the number displayed. Randomly chosen numbers of objects in many pages makes this app more interesting to re-read and the beautiful art, combined with the story of Blue Dog's adventures, makes learning to count lots of fun!

Have kids: is great!

If you have a 3-4 year old this is a wonderful ap for learning how to count. And the art has a great flavor.

Almost perfect!

This app is beautiful and captivating in it's simplicity. It was ingenious to introduce wonderful artwork and the story of the Blue Dog together in a counting lesson for kids. My one suggestion is to reward the child when they have counted correctly. "Good job!" or,"That's right!" should suffice. My 3 year old son didn't quite know when he should be finished counting even though he was quite sure he had touched all the objects. Thank you for the wonderful opportunity to introduce the Blue Dog in a whole new way to my kids.

Great educational App!

My students love the books Why is blue dog blue? And Who are Blue dog friends? This app is a great way to teach about art and counting. Thank you George Rodrigue Foundation of the Arts for making this app free and available to teachers and parents!
