About

See the Cosmos for Yourself

Slooh’s robotic observatories put anyone with a desire to look up and wonder in the driver’s seat of powerful mountaintop telescopes. Our members have taken millions of images of over 50,000 objects in the night sky, from tracking asteroids for NASA to discovering supernovae. Slooh launched December 25th, 2003 from our flagship observatory at the Institute of Astrophysics of the Canary Islands and in the ensuing decade we’ve built a network of 20+ observatory partners around the world to capture every magical moment in outer space. We are the world’s largest community of people peering into space together.

DISAPPOINTED!

This was a huge disappointment!! I did not get to see live streaming of the hybrid solar eclipse. Every time I tapped a button, it directed me somewhere I didn't want to go. They they want you to join, with a Credit Card. Extremely poor App for viewing the hybrid solar eclipse. Now I've missed it. Thanks a lot!!

Family astronomy app

What to get your kids going on beyond candy crush and grand theft auto? This is your best shot. With a little curiosity and imagination they will be hooked on the idea of controlling a mountain top telescope to collect the light cast from a galaxy 37 million light years away and wonder how it could look so much like our Milky Way. Best $.99 you'll ever spend.

Doesn't open

I tried to open the app a few times recently and it doesn't open. I have 1st gen iPad, what a disappointment.

Purpose?

Confusing layout and design. Boring. Too many other top quality apps to spend time trying to figure this one out.

It's ok

App is ok'd but lacks benefits of being a slooh member. Why pay for time when I can reserve and do it on my own time.

Big bang, black hole

Ran Aug 28 update for this version. Crashes immediately after splash screen. Reinstalled app, rebooted iPad (1st gen, iOS 5.1.1). No joy.
