Description:

Tired of using the same old keyboard day after day by scrutinizing on the tiny screen to find and choose the right letters? Well, use Typasaurous!

Typasaurous is the FIRST handwriting/shorthand recognition notepad on iTunes App Store designed with accessibility in mind for all your needs such as Email and SMS! Typasaurous offers you the ease of “drawing” out each letter as you would on a piece a paper! Write by simply following our loosely guided gesture motions and letters will instantly appear at the cursor. The goal of Typasaurous is to combat dexterity problems for the differently abled who may have trouble experiencing the touch-screen keyboards fully from stubby fingers, weakened vision, or lack of fine-motor skills. Enjoy your freedom NOW with Typasaurous!

★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★

Typasaurous offers:

-Accurate handwriting-gesture recognition allowing fast and comfortable writing.

-Simple writing gesture/shorthand system that is both easy to learn and write.

-Friendly and minimalistic user interface for both easy to use and easy on the eyes.

-Intuitive text editing using only finger-motions (e.g. backspace by two-finger swipe left and mode switching (lower-case->upper-case->numbers) by two-finger swipe up).

-Copy/paste for input/output and built-in search/Email/SMS functions (in-app content will automatically be stored for these three functions).

-Drawing mode for the “good ideas are written on a piece of napkin” moments.

-Built-in tutorial (online) for easy reference.

-Auto-correction/dictionary for spelling check.

We hope you enjoy using it as much as we enjoy making it!

Tips: When pair up with a stylus, one can write as fast as typing!

* Special thanks to Dr. Herbert Tsang (http://www.herberttsang.org) of Simon Fraser University (who teaches a fantastic software project course involving iOS programming for which this app is made for) for his advices and encouraging remark of “I believe you can do this.” *

Typo-sore-us

Been looking for handwriting app for a while. Loved it on my Sony PDA years ago. Found Typasarus. Works pretty well except the swipe for the letter "I" needs to be change. I keep getting the letter "J" when I try to make an "I". Also would like to erase the whole block of writing should I change my mind. Just changing the swipe for the "I" would make me happy.

Ugh.

This app doesn't at all do what it says it will. There's no erase option in case you mess up, and the symbols for the letters seem identical to what was used in old PDAs. I tried writing and nothing actually got typed - I just ended up with a screen full of scribbles.

Good Concept...

Bad mechanics... App doesn't react to gestures and "swipes" so you end up with a screen full of cat scratch...

I'll try to be nice

I've never made an app but I know if I were to make one I'd make it user friendly. This app is not user friendly.

The app needs a little work Must be made for 📱5 and The recognition needs to be upgraded.

What?

Who has the time, let alone the patience, to memorize all those symbols?
