Description:

The ATO app puts tax and super help in your hand, making it easier for you to conduct your tax and super affairs on the go.

The app has many features. You can:
- record and manage expenses and trips relating to your work as an employee, your business as a sole trader or other general expenses. Sole traders can also record income.
- upload your myDeductions records to your tax return at tax time or email a copy to your tax agent
- enrol your voiceprint with the ATO. You can then use this to verify your identity when you call us or to log in to our online services for individuals via the app
- calculate the amount of tax to withhold from salary and wage payments
- search for an Australian business number (ABN) using ABN Lookup
- work out key dates and set important reminders and alerts for tax and super obligations
- use the Business performance check tool to compare your business with similar businesses in your industry using the latest Small business benchmarks
- access a number of other useful tools and calculators.

* GPS can be used to record trips in myDeductions. Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.

Some features in the app will request access to functions on your device, including your location, microphone or calendar. For example, to record a trip in myDeductions using the GPS option, the app needs access to your device location.

You can choose to allow the ATO app to store usage data for the purpose of improving the app. None of the collected data identifies you and you can change your settings at any time.

Buggy and won't upload your painstakingly-collected data

Cannot upload deductions. ATO says "oh well, that's a bug, you'll have to RE-ENTER A YEAR'S WORTH OF DATA MANUALLY". Utterly useless, and they treat requests for assistance with utter contempt. Worse than useless.

Clean, easy to use

It's been a real pleasure using this app. I find it clean, easy to record my expenditures as I go. I used the MyDeductions function and uploaded it to the ATO website, which occurred very quickly and efficiently. Great work, Australian government!

Launch Services

Quartz Core Framework
Allow users to browse, edit, and save images, using slideshows and Core Image filters.The Quartz Composer API supports processing and rendering graphical data and allows developers to create custom patches for the Quartz Composer developer tool. ImageKit provides user interface support for browsing, editing, and saving images, showing slideshows, and browsing and previewing Core Image filters. This collection of documents describes the programming interfaces of the System Configuration framework. The System Configuration framework provides functions that determine the reachability of target hosts in both a synchronous and an asynchronous manner. It also provides error detection facilities.
Core Location Framework
The Core Location framework lets you determine the current location or heading associated with a device. The framework uses the available hardware to determine the user’s position and heading. You use the classes and protocols in this framework to configure and schedule the delivery of location and heading events. You can also use it to define geographic regions and monitor when the user crosses the boundaries of those regions. In iOS, you can also define a region around a Bluetooth beacon.

The UIKit framework (UIKit.framework) provides the crucial infrastructure needed to construct and manage iOS apps. This framework provides the window and view architecture needed to manage an app’s user interface, the event handling infrastructure needed to respond to user input, and the app model needed to drive the main run loop and interact with the system.
