With a workflow and graphical interface that is intuitive and easy to use, Wand allows clinicians to:
• Add or update clinical information for a patient (vitals, allergies, history, immunizations, problems, medications)
• Review an appointment list, and indicate current patient status and location
• Quickly access patient summary information with drill-down access to details when necessary
• Experience a longitudinal, all-in-one timeline view of patient information (lab results, medications, vitals, and more)
• Capture chief complaints
• ePrescribe with electronic transmission to pharmacies and drug interaction checking for safe prescriptions
• Resolve tasks and respond to messages

Wand is the ideal mobile solution for:
• Physicians who are not currently documenting in the exam room
• Physicians who wish to review a patient’s chart prior to entering the exam room, but will access the EHR with a docked computer in the exam room
• Clinical staff with intake responsibilities
• Physicians requesting access to the ambulatory clinical record outside of the clinic walls

Further enhancements and functionality will be available later this year.

• Enterprise EHR v. 11.2 and higher

Poorly Designed

Not an app that is going to increase the productivity of primary care providers. This app shows very little intuitive features like most Allscripts products. This coming from a more than 15 year user of Allscripts EHR Pro. Allscripts has become nothing more than a poorly designed Excel program for bean counters. This app is just another failed promise to medical providers!

Works well

This app works well, the clinical staff and providers must be receptive to learn it however, for it to work properly. This requires a team effort and a will to go beyond the physical barriers of paper. The app will also only work as well as he team implementing it in each unique healthcare environment. When it is tested and implemented, it is a fantastic and efficient tool.

Wand trial

A good next step, but what is it about this company that seems to make it think the users will be impressed with SOME capabilities, but not ALL capabilities .. It's a hassle to use a system that only does SOME of what it needs to do .. This happened with REMOTE and NO improvements followed a barely capable app .. PLEASE give us full capabilities.. ie the ability to document an exam.. Was almost excited about this app until I started using it.. But at least it has potential.. Follow up with improvements!!

Core Foundation Framework
Core Foundation is a framework that provides fundamental software services useful to application services, application environments, and to applications themselves. Core Graphics
The Core Graphics framework is based on the Quartz advanced drawing engine. It provides low-level, lightweight 2D rendering with unmatched output fidelity. You use this framework to handle path-based drawing, transformations, color management, offscreen rendering, patterns, gradients and shadings, image data management, image creation, and image masking, as well as PDF document creation, display, and parsing.
Core Location Framework
The Core Location framework lets you determine the current location or heading associated with a device. The framework uses the available hardware to determine the user’s position and heading. You use the classes and protocols in this framework to configure and schedule the delivery of location and heading events. You can also use it to define geographic regions and monitor when the user crosses the boundaries of those regions. In iOS, you can also define a region around a Bluetooth beacon.
CoreText
Core Text provides a low-level programming interface for laying out text and handling fonts. The Core Text layout engine is designed for high performance, ease of use, and close integration with Core Foundation. The text layout API provides high-quality typesetting, including character-to-glyph conversion, with ligatures, kerning, and so on. The complementary Core Text font technology provides automatic font substitution (cascading), font descriptors and collections, easy access to font metrics and glyph data, and many other features.
Foundation Framework
The Foundation framework provides a base layer of functionality for apps and frameworks, including data storage and persistence, text processing, date and time calculations, sorting and filtering, and networking. Launch Services
macOS Launch Services is an API that enables a running app to open other apps or their document files, similar to the Finder or the Dock.Launch Services eliminates apps having to query the Finder to open an app, document, or URL for them. The macOS Finder itself uses Launch Services to perform such tasks. Because the Finder performs no additional processing beyond calling Launch Services, any client using Launch Services for these purposes behaves identically to the Finder.
Quartz Core Framework
Allow users to browse, edit, and save images, using slideshows and Core Image filters.The Quartz Composer API supports processing and rendering graphical data and allows developers to create custom patches for the Quartz Composer developer tool.
